David is a seasoned professional manager of entrepreneurial engineering and product management. David brings over 30 years of successful business and technical leadership at startup companies and major international corporations, in roles of development engineering, product management, marketing, sales support and customer interaction for product applications in the telephone networks and internet applications of the major US and international operators, leveraging an energetic, team-oriented approach.
He has a proven record of success in early and late stage startups as well as established large organizations. David built the IPCell start-up engineering team for product release and Cisco spin-in acquisition within 12 months, after which he managed the IPCell VoIP softswitch development to successful deployment at major cable operators.
He has managed operations and engineering for two Dallas ventures in mobile applications and video streaming technology. David started DSC’s first European office from the ground up to build a self-sustaining sales, marketing and engineering support organization within 24 months. Other experience has included Alcatel, DSC, AT&T Bell Labs and GTE Labs where he managed a variety of engineering and product management teams, both nationally and internationally, for web, wireless and intelligent network systems.
David is known for building strong teams, driving new initiatives to completion, effective process improvements, turning around challenging problems, bringing products to market, finishing projects on-time and within budget, increasing customer satisfaction and leading business development.
David has been active in Faith related organizations all through his career and actively participates in organizations supporting Orphans Promise, an international ministry for the care of orphans, international missions such as Navigators, Slavic Gospel Association and Gospel for Asia, and Reconciliation Outreach, a rehabilitation ministry in Dallas.
Specialties: Telecommunications, Human-Machine Interfaces and Web Communications, from co-reed switches to analog switching, Digital Switching, SS7 and STPs, Intelligent Network Products, IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS) in both US and Europe, to VoIP soft-switching, and most recently Mobile Applications, Enterprise apps, consumer apps, live internet video and video enabled applications.
David holds a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Wabash College.
