Bev Leibee has been planning and buying media for 35+ years with experience in a wide array of business categories from Amalie Motor Oil to Zale’s Jewelers in all the traditional media and digital online channels.
A native Texan and University of Texas graduate, Bev reluctantly left Austin for Dallas and joined Publicis formerly Bloom where she was a “junior chipmunk” and moved up to be a Group Media Director during her 9 years there. She moved to Pier 1 Imports’ Marketing Department as Media Director. Then joined The Richards Group to oversee media planning on Compass Bank, TGIFriday’s, The Container Store, Motel 6 and many other accounts.
In 1997, she headed to Chicago to work for Initiative Media, working on Gerber Baby Food, Nextel Communications and Northern Trust. Bev loved Chicago, claiming that their winters are no match for Texas summers, but ultimately moved back to Texas in 2003 to be near her family.
Bev joined Lopez Negrete Communications in Houston, a Hispanic advertising agency where she managed Spanish language media on Visa, Walmart, and Tyson foods.
Bev moved to Kerrville, Texas to again be close to family and worked in the trenches with Ann Darnell and Dave Rogers at Briscoe Hall.
Other clients include Speck Communications, Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Wire Consulting/Dallas, GreenLeaf Media Services, The Buzzell Company to name a few.
Realizing that media could be boring and/or intimidating to clients, Bev strives to make it user-friendly. Her approach to media planning/buying is “Do all the research, crunch all the numbers, make a sound recommendation and negotiate aggressively.”
